Since the time cavemen were fleeing from the feared mammoth and sabre-toothed tigers, they have continually sought ways to control their predators. So, they used their thinking caps and their God-given sixth sense to outwit them, to the extent that humans now dominate most of the planet and have driven many of those animals into hiding or extinction. The closest most people come to animals today is either through eating them, keeping them as pets, or when they pay to see them in cages.

Even in this age and era, when we are expected to be civilised and cultured, some individuals take pleasure in shooting animals just because they can - not for their food, hide, or self-defence — and display their kill for others to awe!

Bengal Tiger floored
A notorious man-eating tigress known as Champawat (pictured above) killed around 200 men and women before being driven out of Nepal. She moved to another part of India and continued her killing spree, reaching a total of 436 victims before she was finally tracked down and killed in 1911. The Champawat tigress, like most man-eaters, was extremely cunning, and she was only found by Jim Corbett because he followed the trail of blood she left after killing her last victim, a 16-year-old girl.
